Having a Meek and Quiet Spirit 20 of 22

Acts 12:14 "And when she knew Peter's voice, she opened not the gate for gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate."

Don't forget to Believe a lesson from Rhoda. 5things we can learn from Rhoda:
1. She didn't forget to listen at the door.
Acts 12:12 "Many were gathered together praying."
2. She didn't forget to answer the door.
3. She didn't forget to recognize Peter's voice.
4. She didn't forget to believe Peter was at the door.
5. She didn't forget to confirm her faith to others.

How often do we forget things. I'm not talking about forgetting to pay a bill or go to the store. I mean how ofter do we forget to go to our hearts door when the Lord is trying to get our attention? Or we ignore the knock. Maybe we're so far backslidden that we don't even recognize when the Lord is speaking to us. Not verbally but through preaching, teaching, Bible reading....
Do we share our faith, or do we "forget" to because we're to busy?!

Lets Remember to Believe
1. To believe God can bless and protect your marriage!
Are you trying to keep your marriage safe or allowing God to take care of your marriage. Do you and your spouse pray together daily to protect your marriage, your children, your spirits.
Bill and I have prayed together daily since Aug 24, 1991 that is when we got married. Now we prayed together while we were dating, but it wasn't always on a daily bases. IF you base your marriage not only on love and relationship, but on God, the Bible and Prayer It's amazing what God will do with your marriage.

2. Believe that your children will do right.
Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.

3. Believe God can us us and your family!
So much could be said on each of these points. IF you as a parent do your part in raising your children and depend on God, he will be able to use you and your family.

As we have looked at Remembering to believe and not forgetting, there's much to think about.
If we don't have our daily devotions and if we don't read our Bible daily there are things that we'll forget and things that we need God's help with that we'll miss because we don't do these things. Part of a Meek and Quiet Spirit is not forgetting, and making sure we stay tuned to God.

I love your blog and have found many great books to read through it. However, I'm finding the new font really hard to read.

Judy, I was actually wondering if it would be a problem to read. Thank you for saying something. I will try something different.

I'm so glad you've found some new books.
