I am crucified with Christ

Galatians 2:20 "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me."

Does Christ live in you? Do you live by the faith of the Son of God? He loved us so much that he gave himself for you and me. The least we can do is live for him, serve him and live in the faith he has given.

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

For those who may not know I recently was diagnosed with IDC known as Infiltrating Ductal Carcinoma Breast Cancer. Now, I have been serving the Lord for years, being faithful, doing what I believed to be the right thing. I could have allowed this to stop me from serving and doing as I should, but I have chose not to. Yes I've to consider my health but as long as I have the strength I will continue to do as I have.

See, I accepted Christ as my Saviour many years ago and so he lives in me. I'm not perfect and I do sometimes try to live by what I think is right, but Living by faith is so much better. Trusting the Lord is way better than trusting in my own works or in man.

Do you have a ______________ (you fill in the blank) that prevents you from living by faith in the Son of God? Friend no matter what your ______________ is don't let it keep you from God.

Since the first of May our family has become closer, our prayer life has increased yes we still make mistakes but we allowed the bump the road to grow us. What will you do with your "bump" in the road?

My newest blog is: Make Today Amazing Feel free to read it, to comment. If you have questions I'll try my best to answer them.

Children following Gods leading

Children are an heritage from the Lord. They are a blessing that some don't get to experience. Children are on loan to us as parents to raise up and train in the way they should go. Children will keep you on your knees. Children are all in all the GREATEST!!

I have pictures here of my oldest 3, my oldest being with her family. Yes, I'm a Grammy now and I love it!!
Tom and Tabitha have been married 3 yrs and have a beautiful baby girl. This momma couldn't be more pleased and proud of her daughter than I am. I'll not give her story though pretty basic. It is a joy though to see her married to the man God had for her, serving the Lord where he would have them serve and raising their children they way they were raised. I love them dearly!!

My second child, Paul IV, which is pictured with me - I don't get many pictures of him.... He is in Bible college and I'm so very proud of him. He's dating a young lady that's from a very godly home and as mom, I believe to be the young lady God has for him. He does keep me on my toes and on my knees as he does have some health issues. But he doesn't let it slow him and he continues to serve and be where God wants him. I him dearly!!

Then there's Caleb, #3, he is one of a kind and love him for it!! We are so proud of him and he as his oldest 2 siblings is serving God where he would have him and also is dating a young lady from a wonderful godly family. He has a servants heart and wants to be in Gods will in all he does. As my oldest boy and yes my younger 2 boys he keeps me on my toes and on my knees, so does Caleb. Boys are a joy to have and I wouldn't trade my 4 for anything. I'll definitely keep my girl too. I love Caleb dearly!!

As I was saying children are an heritage from the Lord. We didn't make our children chose to do what they're doing. We simply trained them in the way the Lord told us to. Following the Bible, discipline, loving, guiding, loving, being there for them. Did they have all the niceties of life, no but they were happy. We didn't do without but our kids knew what they had was provided by God. They also knew without a doubt that they were and are loved dearly.

The reason I'm focusing mostly on the older 3 here is they were old enough to understand things when we were on deputation. They, and yes the younger 2, saw things and witnessed God leading, God's protection, Gods provision in ways that some children never get to see, they only hear about. Now my youngest 2 Samuel and Jason do have memories of deputation but they are vague. When they are asked about certain things they may or may not remember. Most of what they remember is being on "vacation" all the time. Which is what they called it. However as I have one about to graduate in just 2 weeks and my youngest in his Jr year I am seeing the same qualities of their older siblings, in that they are wanting to serve God, wanting to be in his will as I've seen and still see in my oldest. Don't give up on your children. Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it. Love your children and make sure you have their heart!

Proverbs 18:24

Good afternoon everyone! I pray that you are having a wonderful New Year. We ended 2016 with family being home that's not been home in almost 3 yrs and it was wonderful!!!! I'll not go into that here if you want to catch up with my family you are more than welcome to go to my family blog: http://7isheavenforus.blogspot.com I'll be updating that later today :)

Today here however is about friends. I've noticed through the past year there's been a lot people who've lost friends due to cancer, car accidents, basic health issues, even unexpectedly. As the new year approached I the verse which I've mentioned in the Post title kept coming to mind. Now, I'll not do this here but on my Face book page Paula Seavey, I decided that on Monday through Fridays I'm going to honor a friend each day. This friend maybe family or non related but I want to always be a friend and I want to always be that friend you can come to. As the Lord allows me to, I want to be a blessing or help to those who ask or need. Proverbs 18:24 says, "A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly; and their is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother."

See if you don't personally know me, I'm naturally shy. It is NOT my nature to just walk up and talk to people, to be friend them, to make myself readily available. However I make myself be that friend. Just as the Lord is closer to me than a friend or brother, my prayer is that I am considered a close friend. I've not had anyone tell me, you are a fake, or you don't really mean what you say. I have however seen that happen to dear people. To people who only want to be a blessing, who they just simply want to be a help. My friend, if you have a Jennie, a Margaret, a Mrs. Caroline, a Tammy in your life don't push them away. Let them be the friend of Proverbs 18:24. None of us are perfect and all of us will make mistakes, so as a FRIENDLY reminder from a friend, shew yourself friend, be that friend who is there when a brother isn't.

You say, Mrs. Paula, "I'm shy!" Well, my friend so am I! You just have to step out of your comfort zone and make yourself friendly.

Have a wonderful 2017!!
