Being the Help Meet you were meant to be. 6 of 24

Good Morning, I thought while my boys were having a break from their books and enjoying the Wii for a little bit I would start the next lesson. This will cont on with Wisdom, looking at in a different aspect to our marriages and life.

Psalm 111:10 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom"
Proverbs 9;10 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom"
Proverbs 1:7 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of Knowledge"

Notice God mentions "The fear of the Lord" We need heed it, why? God not only said it once but 3 times!! *I feel that if I can cause young wives to be aware that there are consequences to their actions, they may turn to God now and start sowing to the spirit, rather than to the flesh.

*A woman who really knows God will know that true spirituality is obeying God's recorded Word, not cultivating her "spiritual" sensibilities.

Titus 2:3-4 states in part of this verse "...the aged women...teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands...." If you are a young wife you need to pay attention to this, Our elders do know and do have advice for us on how to help our marriages and life. More importantly is they have lived they have learned things. God's word is given to us to live wisely for a reason, to be a godly wife for a reason.

*No woman has ever been happy and fulfilled who neglected to obey God in regard to her role as a help meet.

*He wanted to make her happy, and he was somewhat awed by her other-worldly spiritualism.
Your husband loves you! He wants to do that which will make you happy. Do you encourage that by obeying God OR do you look more to the world??
Are you truly your husbands "helper" OR are you trying to be his conscience. You are to be his help meet and to encourage him and help lift him up, we are not to be his conscience.

Lets make some new habits today:
*When you feel yourself beginning to have a critical spirit, stop, take a deep breath silently ask for wisdom, then think of something that is on your thankful list. This is remolding a habit, and in time, practice makes perfect.

And remember "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom"
