Will you flee or go?

Jonah 1:1-4
Now the word of the Lord came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,
Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.
But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the Lord, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it,  to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the Lord.
But the Lord sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken.

Are you a Jonah? When the Lord leads you to go and do something do you flee? Or do you do the opposite of Jonah and go immediately. Now Jonah did go into Nineveh but not till after he had fled.
Can we hide form the Lord? NO!

Have you been called to teach a girls Sunday School class, or teach in a Christian school? Men have you been called to preach, either at a church, as a missionary or an evangelist? These are just to mention a few things we can do. Now you can serve God in area that you work. If you are a soul winner and do your best to be a witness for Christ God CAN and Will use you!

How many times does the Lord have to come to you before you'll do his work or before he'll simply leave you alone because you neglect to listen to the Holy Spirit. Now because Jonah ran, it caused much grief for more than himself. Imagine that poor fish.... he had to deal with a man in his stomach that wouldn't digest. You know how you feel when your stomach is upset and it seems the food isn't settling. We do the same with Jesus when we ignore his call, we "upset' his stomach, so to speak. We then go to Chapter 3.

Chapter 3:1-2 it says, "And the word of the Lord came unto Jonah the second time, saying,
Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bed thee."

What did Jonah do this time since he was being given a 2nd chance. He went and preached the gospel and because he obeyed God the people of Nineveh believed God. This brings me to our Teens at SBBC of Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church. Our teens have seen over 200 people saved in the past 2 wks. Now if our Pastor had of ignored the Lord and hadn't started a teen a soul winning group having 2 of his assistant Pastors over the group do you think these 200 plus people would be saved today? There is a possibility but was is the likely hood that they would.... When you have 50 plus teens going out and sharing the gospel somethings going to happen!!!

So lets not flee from God and what he ask of us.
My question to you is, "Who are you the Jonah who fled or the Jonah who went and obeyed God?
